Overview
Under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Livestock Card Scheme has been launched to empower livestock farmers. This initiative provides interest-free loans to support the livestock sector, enabling farmers to purchase Wanda, Silage, and mineral mixtures for calf fattening.
The goal is to improve farmers’ livelihoods by giving them access to financial resources so they can provide a balanced diet and proper feed to their animals, resulting in better growth and productivity.
The entire application process is digitized, developed by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), ensuring quick verification, enhanced accessibility, reduced processing time, and transparent service delivery.
Key Benefits of the Livestock Card Scheme

Loan range: PKR 135,000 to PKR 270,000

Loan period: 4 months + 1-month grace period

Target Beneficiaries

40,000 to 80,000 farmers will benefit overall

1st Year: 10,000–20,000 farmers and 100,000 animals

2nd Year: 30,000–60,000 farmers and 300,000 animals
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:

Be a resident of Punjab

Have an active SIM registered on CNIC

Be registered in SPMS-9211 system
-
Own 5 to 10 male calves/young stock (Buffalo/Cattle)

Maintain a clean credit history with no defaults in government loan schemes
